Customer Service Consultant

The Hours: 36 hours per week - Applicants will be required to work 36 hours per week on a flexible basis across Monday to Saturday in line with the branch operating hours.

?The Role

As a Customer Consultant you will be more than a friendly face, we are looking for a passionate and customer focused individual with an enquiring mind. You will be at the heart of local communities being a listening ear, a problem solver and a fountain of support and knowledge. We want to help our customers to achieve their financial goals and get the best out of products and services to allow them to get more for their money whether we support them in branch or via telephone we are on hand to help.

  • Engaging, understanding and identifying customer needs through asking great questions, listening to customers specific circumstances and tailoring the relevant solution to their needs whilst ensuring the right outcome for the customer and the society.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers in the branch and over the phone with enthusiasm and a desire to help our customers.
  • Proactively contacting our customers over the phone to identify and discuss their needs.
  • Educate each customer on a range of products and services as well as the different communication channels they can utilise to engage with us directly.

What we are looking for...

As a Customer Consultant, you will be engaging in conversations to find out our customers' needs, providing information to customers about our full savings range, products and services that we offer. By really listening to and getting to know our customers you will help them to review their circumstances and what their goals are, whether that be financial, family, retirement, peace of mind or even a new home and through this proactively identify the most appropriate products to suit their needs, all the while providing a straightforward, helpful service that lets your enthusiasm shine through.

  • Previous customer service experience, ideally within a financial industry but this is not mandatory - we are open to both face to face and contact centre based customer experience
  • Experience with cash or payment handling is required - card or cash.
  • A passionate for delivering 1st class customer service through face to face and telephone based conversations
  • Have a genuine curiosity and enquiring mind to get to know our customers and want to do the best for them.
  • The ability to multitask and work in what can be a very fast paced environment.
  • The want and desire to learn, you will receive 12 weeks training which will be aided by your manager and colleagues - they will be part of your learning and growth within the business, we can teach you what is needed but we are looking for someone who WANTS to learn and be the best they can be.
  • Hardworking, resilient, motivated and personable.

Hours:

  • Full time, 36 hours per week
  • Working between Monday to Saturday on a shift rota
  • Monday to Friday between 8:30am-5pm
  • Saturdays between 9am-12pm (typically twice a month)

** All successful candidates will be required to pass a DBS and Credit Check for this position **
