Salary: 23,000.00-26,000.00 per year dependant on experience

A new role has become available for a long established, well respected British Manufacturer of medical devices and instrumentation. Due to an expansion of our team, we are seeking an Operations Administrator to join our Purchasing & Planning Department at Culmhead near Taunton, to help with everyday operations.

The Operations Administrator will enjoy working in a Team environment, with a hands-on approach to delivering an exceptional admin service in general production, planning and procurement activities, data entry and office duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create/amend works orders within MRP system
  • Raise batches and release works orders for picking within warehouse system
  • System completion and closure of works orders
  • Carry out stock adjustments
  • Receipt intermediate sub-assemblies into stock
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and perform stock checks
  • Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
  • Receipting of Goods onto MRP system
  • Multi-site communication regarding receiving/invoice queries and stock transfers
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by the Operations Team

The Candidate

  • Will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
  • Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of MRP systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferable
  • Experience in production planning and/or operations would be beneficial
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve successfully
  • Ability to work under own initiative but also work well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and be able to work well under pressure
  • An effective cross-level communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential - due to rural location
