- Experience of managing and maintainng efficient operations of various systems including lighting, compressors, cooling towers, fire alarm systems, plumbing and ventilation.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of all facilities equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise, minimising downtime and disruptions to the manufacturing process.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades or modifications.
- Oversee the site security measures, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing or repairs when necessary.
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in facilities engineering, incorporating innovative solutions when applicable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting systems
- Previous leadership experience managing a team (e.g. contractors)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to identify and resolve issues.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, or fire safety will be an advantage.
