Our client, a leading global technology company specializing in electronic measurement solutions are seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer on a permanent basis. Based primarily on-site at their Telford service centre, with occasional on-site work at customer locations, you will be responsible for the calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to ensure functionality and accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic, mechanical or analytical test instruments.
  • Conduct routine tasks following prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require judgment.
  • Solve technical problems of varying scope and complexity related to test and calibration processes.
  • Understand customer requirements through effective communication, both face-to-face and written.
  • Travel to customer sites for on-site calibrations (less than 25% of the time).

Requirements:

  • Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician with relevant calibration experience.
  • IT skills, including proficiency in Windows and Office applications.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to confidently address customer inquiries and anticipate problems.
  • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and working independently.
  • Capability to obtain UK security clearance.
