Social Worker Parenting Assessment Centre


Do you have a passion for supporting children, young people and families facing complex challenges? Are you a skilled social worker with a desire to contribute to positive change?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join this dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in assessing parenting capacity and developing support plans that will ultimately benefit children and families in our community. The role is part-time up to 30 hours a week and hours can be split over 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
About the Role:
In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive parenting assessments, utilising a variety of tools and frameworks.
  • Work collaboratively with families to understand their strengths and areas needing support.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive support plans tailored to each family's individual needs.
  • Liaise with other professionals, including psychologists, teachers, and health care providers.
  • Prepare detailed reports and participate in legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service offered by the Centre.


About You:

  • You are a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • You possess a strong understanding of child development, attachment theory, and family dynamics.
  • You have experience in conducting parenting assessments, ideally using the [Name of Assessment Framework] framework.
  • You are an excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal and listening skills.
  • You are a skilled team player who can also work independently and manage a demanding caseload.
  • You are passionate about safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes for families.
