Purpose of Post
To support the business in the successful completion of its objectives of quality product delivered cost effectively on time every time.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Fault investigation
- Servicing of blowing machines
- Setup and run downstream equipment e.g. airveyors, laners, robots
- Support the Production Manager
- Flexibility to support Team Members
- Take ownership of GMP, Health and Safety issues in the manufacturing area
- Completion of Asset Care Tasks
- Completion of Condition Monitoring Tasks
- Drive/support improvement projects within the blow moulding area
- Support for annual overhaul activity
- Train & develop colleagues in processing, fault finding and repair within the blow moulding area
- Mentor Apprentices
Essential Experience
Experience of Krones and Sidel blow moulding machines
- Ability to implement processing changes to affect material distribution , weights and other physical properties/dimensions
- Willingness to learn

- Knowledge of mould/tooling change procedures and steps/methods for line changes
- Proficient in the use of engineering tools
- Ability to train others
- Able to adjust/set up / keep machinery operating to peak efficiencies to produce bottles based on demand
- Can overhaul machine parts including low/high pressure valves
- Experience of mechanical engineering in a blow moulding environment ideally a time served Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (C&G , SVQ or equivalent)
- Electrical knowledge
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults
- PLC - programming , fault finding , control panel wiring
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
- Ability to fault find to component level
- Can work in a team or independently
- Computer literate
