An opportunity to join this fast-growing Tewkesbury SME in a newly-created position of Management Accountant. Due to exciting growth and expansion plans, our client is now on the lookout for someone with broad management accounting and year-end experience. A number 2 finance position that would suit a qualified accountant although we can also consider candidates who are qualified by experience.
Please note that, as a general rule, the role will be office based 5 days a week.
Typical responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Analysis of key variances for inclusion in month-end reporting pack
- Identifying and improving processes and controls
- P&L reviews and business partnering internal stakeholders
- Assisting with the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
- Full involvement in external audit
- Supporting the consolidation process, statutory accounting and internal group reporting
Ideal experience required
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Broad management accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Excited by working in a high growth business and enjoys change
- A great communicator who can build relationships across the business
