Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist!

Location: Tewkesbury (hybrid - 1 day on site)

Belcan is seeking a dedicated Cloud Engineer to support the development and maintenance of SaaS hosted system environments with our client in Tewkesbury. This role is pivotal in providing a secure and optimal environment for their hosted services, catering to a global customer base.

Job Overview:

As a key member of the Cloud Engineer team, you will be instrumental in operating and securing virtual machines and infrastructure components within Azure, enhancing the overall availability, performance, reliability, and security of solutions and platforms. You will take charge of managing and maintaining the SaaS networks and servers, implementing server monitoring, reviewing system logs, and initiating improvements. You will also provide proactive support, resolve incidents and managing problems to maintain service levels. Your role involves identifying risks, managing major incidents, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaborative service delivery. You will engage with projects, ensuring technical solutions align with customer needs and produce high-quality documentation.

Required Skills:

A keenness to learn and ambition to progress trumps all here. Strong organizational skills, the capacity to manage multiple tasks, and familiarity with IT systems and digital tools are essential, as is at least 2 years of experience in the IT field. Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues (preferably within an ITIL environment) is desired. Interested in people who have experience in all or some of: Linux, Azure, Microsoft Servers, SQL Servers, and scripting (Bash/Powershell).

We are not expecting a Cloud Engineer expert since hands-on training is provided from a well experienced team. You would work closely with the team on a daily basis and have access to a training budget for progression/development. You would not be expected to 'hit the ground running' but should be interested and enthusiastic about working with these technologies and keen to learn.
