Nights (19:00pm - 07:00am 4 nights on & 4 nights off)

Pay:

£16.20ph

Working as a Transport Supervisor in Tewkesbury:

  • Working in the Tewkesbury Haulage & Distribution Office our Transport Supervisors lead, supervise and coordinate our team of HGV Drivers, Tanker Drivers, Shunters and Banksmen. Reporting to the Fleet Logistics Manager, you will liaise with various departments across the business, and our clients, to ensure distribution runs smoothly & any issues are dealt with quickly, efficiently and professionally.
  • You will work alongside the Office Administrator to ensure paperwork is properly completed and filed. You will support HGV Drivers overnight, complete pre- and post-shift paperwork, and coordinate with Management.
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene standards in the workplace
  • Training, coaching and mentoring other team members and completing any other duties as reasonably requested by your supervisor or manager.
  • Preparing and operating a variety of machinery and equipment in a safe manner, protecting both your own and your colleague's health and safety, in accordance with environmental standards to reduce wastage wherever possible.
  • Supervise all drivers to ensure deliveries are made to customers at the correct time and with the highest levels of customer service.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is correct and documentation in order when drivers return to the site.
  • Plan, organise and utilise resources effectively.

Skills & Qualifications required

  • Previous experience working as a Transport Supervisor
  • Current HGV Driving Licence
  • Current CPC and Digital Driver's Card
  • A pro-active and practical approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent time management, demonstrating the ability to effectively work alone using your initiative, and as part of a wider team.
  • Comfortable with tight deadlines, and the flexibility to work varying shifts.

Skills (Desirable):

  • Experience of working in a dairy or similar food production sector.
