Join Our Team as a Payroll and Benefits Manager

Role Overview

Reporting to the People Director, the Payroll and Benefits Manager is pivotal in managing all aspects of payroll, salaries, benefits, and HR systems support, driving the Foundation’s purpose forward. 1 direct report.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management: Oversee and verify monthly payroll activities, ensuring accuracy before final sign-off.
  • Salary Review: Support annual salary review budget planning and manage the salary review process.
  • Legislation Compliance: Stay updated on legislation affecting staff pay and conditions, managing necessary changes.
  • Reward and Benefits: Develop and maintain a competitive reward package via our Flexible Benefits program (Your Benefits Your Way).
  • Third-Party Relationships: Manage relationships with brokers and platform providers.
  • Recognition Programs: Oversee annual recognition processes, including anniversary awards.
  • Pension and Benefits Processing: Handle pension contributions and additional salary sacrifice benefits.
  • Communication: Craft and promote internal and external benefits communications.
  • Gender Pay Gap Reporting: Prepare and submit the annual report.
  • HR Audits: Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • HRMIS Adjustments: Collaborate with the Prior Insight team to update HR policies and procedures.

About You

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in payroll management with a strong knowledge of benefits administration.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to solve complex problems with clear, workable solutions.
  • Expertise: Specialist knowledge to drive change and efficiency.
  • Communication: Strong written communication skills tailored to the audience.
  • Technical Skills: Highly IT literate with knowledge of relational databases.
  • Qualifications: CIPD or CIPP qualification is desirable.
