A well-established UK manufacturer of health & beauty products is seeking a driven and commercially minded Buyer to join their busy Procurement team.
You'll be responsible for sourcing key components and raw materials, negotiating pricing and terms, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring stock availability to support ongoing production and new product development. The role demands a proactive approach - someone who's happy to walk across the office or factory floor to get answers, not just rely on emails.
The company operates across skincare, haircare, tanning, bath, baby, and fragrance categories, working with leading brands and retailers. This is a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where collaboration with NPD, Quality, Technical and Supply Chain is key.
Ideal Background
Cosmetics or personal care manufacturing preferred
Chemical or FMCG backgrounds also considered
Confident working with MRP systems and Excel
Strong commercial and negotiation skills
Able to manage costings, supplier terms, and lead times
Organised, detail-oriented, and highly proactive
Comfortable working fully onsite in an open-plan office
