Job Title: WelderLocation: Thirsk, North YorkshireDuration: Ongoing Contract OR temp to permShifts: Days We are currently recruiting for a number of Welders for positions based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Our client is one of the largest and most successful steel-work contractors in the UK, they have recently won a large amount of work so are looking to extend their workforce.The successful applicants will ideally have structural steel welding experience. You will be responsible for achieving high quality standards in a safe manner within the production time scales.- £240 weekly accommodation allowance( Day Shift), - Additional accommodation allowance paid if work overtime.- Accommodation allowance only available to contractorsShifts:* Day Shifts - Monday to Thursday - 7am to 5:30pm and Friday - 7am to 1pm
Pay Rates:
Umbrella
Days - £22.81(increase at 12 weeks to £23.88)
PAYE
Days - £18.22
Overtime rates available. Candidates must be prepared to go on site for a weld test.
The weld test will include 135 Mag Welding Process.
Test 1 - 8mm Single run Fillet Weld.Test 2 - 10mm Multi run Fillet Weld.Test 3 - Double bevel full Penetration Butt Weld.
All tests are carried out on 15mm thick plate in S355JR mild steel.
