Prospero Teaching are currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support low-ability pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health and PMLD needs. Join a welcoming and diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and proactive engagement.

Immediate Trials

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistants
  • Needs: PMLD, SEMH, ADHD, ASD and other related SEN.
  • Daily Salary: £90 - £100
  • Working Days: 5 days a week
  • Hours: 8:30 - 16:00
  • Contract: Temp - Perm
  • Location: Norwood

School Information:

The vibrant SEN school community situated in a modern building with diverse learning spaces, including a forest area, games rooms, gyms, and sensory rooms and on-site therapist is available for both pupils and staff!

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and PMLD. Have excellent behaviour management and conflict resolution skills, and a caring and patient approach. Enthusiasm, character, and a proactive attitude are highly valued.

Training and Support Provided:

  • The school caters to pupils with SEMH, PMLD, SLD, ADHD and ASD.
  • Training will be provided for Teaching Assistants with experience in Primary, Secondary, or College settings.
  • Ongoing support, Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and guidance are integral to our approach.

Nature of Students:

  • Mental Health challenges

  • Behavioural difficulties
  • Severe learning dela
  • All students need assistant with personal care

Requirements:

  • DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • SEN Experience
