JR: Gas Engineer

Salary: £42,000 - £44,700 per annum

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Gas Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of gas systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Install, test, and commission gas appliances and related equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in gas systems, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including reports, service records, and maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate work activities and ensure efficient workflow.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to gas engineering.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Domestic and Commercial Gas qualification is essential.
- Previous experience as a Gas Engineer, preferably in a commercial maintenance setting.
- Strong knowledge of gas regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated area.
