Overview:

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Gas Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client values the skills and experience of ex-military personnel; however, all candidates with the required qualifications and expertise will be given due consideration. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our client's organisation as a Gas Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of gas systems in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Install, test, and commission gas appliances and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in gas systems, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including reports, service records, and maintenance logs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate work activities and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to gas engineering.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Domestic and Commercial Gas qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Gas Engineer, preferably in a commercial maintenance setting.
  • Strong knowledge of gas regulations and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated area.

Location: Aldershot

Salary: Up to £44,700 per annum
