43 HOURS PER WEEK PLUS OVERTIME

Our client are a well known manufacturer in the Dudley area they are going through a period of expansion and are doubling the size of their manufacturing plant

Our client is looking for someone who is fully competent in Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Job Description

To be responsible for the continuous running of all equipment and machinery within the department. By using a computerised CMMS system, you will perform scheduled, breakdown and installation tasks that are vital for the efficiency of the department. Working closely with other professions to problem solve and improve processes and areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the maintenance supervisor
  • To close / update completed scheduled tasks on the site computerized maintenance system
  • Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
  • To assist specialist subcontractor’s requirements both for PPM and reactive works
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required, and requested by management

Requirements

  • Systems experience – Hydraulics & pneumatics (understand drawings & able to diagnose/ fault find systems)
  • Knowledge in mechanical principles – Gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, drives & belts, pumps (both hydraulic & water)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Commitment to Quality, environment & health and safety
  • To be able to work in an organised manner with good time management.
  • Be able to work well in a close team with a positive can-do attitude
  • Strive for improvements
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Experience working with IMM’s (desirable only)
