Our client is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of construction projects, cost management, estimating, and contract administration.

 

Duties for the Quantity Surveyor will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Conduct cost analysis and estimations for construction projects
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and monitor project costs throughout the construction process
  • Provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions and value engineering
  • Manage and oversee Junior Quantity Surveyors on project teams
  • Conduct on-site inspections and monitor progress to ensure projects are on time and within budget
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

 

The ideal candidate for the Senior Quantity Surveyor will have the following:

  • Experience in utilities or groundworks
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
  • Proficiency in construction software
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Professional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is preferred
