Reed are partnering with a sector-leading special school, currently looking for multiple Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. The school provides exceptional education for pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and those on the autistic spectrum. We have opportunities across our main site and satellite provision based in the local college.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the delivery of educational programs tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments.
  • Facilitate the social and emotional development of pupils, providing support and encouragement.
  • Help manage pupil behaviour to ensure a constructive learning atmosphere.
  • Adapt communication methods to support pupils with varying needs.
  • Participate in school activities and outings, providing appropriate supervision and care.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with pupils who have additional learning needs (ALN) is essential.
  • A commitment to the educational development and well-being of pupils with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work across different school sites as required.
