Reed Health & Care are currently recruiting for Care Assistants for our client based in South Ayrshire on a permanent basis.

Pay Rate : £12 per hour

Hours : Full time : 38.5 or 44 Hours a weekRota : 3 Shifts 1 week / 4 shifts the next week on a rolling BasisShift : 12 hour shifts : 8am-8pm – mixture of dayshifts & nightshifts so you must be willing to do both shifts when required they do try and offer what shift you prefer but this is never guaranteed.

Requirements

  • SVQ 2 qualified or be willing to work towards this
  • Be registered with the SSSC or be prepared to registered
  • Demonstrate in knowledge & understanding of Social Care Codes of Practice
  • Have good communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Behave in a responsible, polite manner at all times
  • Respect the confidence of residents
  • Refer all enquires to the person in charge
  • Be willing to seek help when necessary
  • Serve meals & prepare drinks and assist residents who need assistance when required
  • Assist residents with bathing, showering & continence support needs
  • Assist residents with dressing & undressing and care of hair, oral care, pressure areas & nails as requested
  • Observe & report to person in charge any changes in residents, accidents, hazards or equipment
  • Answer call bells
  • Assist in the promotion of physical, educational and psychological wellbeing of all residents
  • Undertake other duties as required.
