Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join their team.

Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire

Salary: £27,347 - £38,101 per annum plus a £3,000 specialist skills shortage bonus (dependant on skills, qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent (37 Hours PW, 52 weeks)

Lecturer in Electrical Installation - The Role:

Are you passionate about electrical installation and eager to inspire the next generation of skilled professionals? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to contribute to our thriving Construction & The Built Environment Faculty.

As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students. Your primary focus will be delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment across our Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Electrical Installation courses.

Lecturer in Electrical Installation - Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Excellence:

- Engage students with dynamic classroom sessions, covering both theoretical concepts and practical skills

- Foster a positive learning environment where curiosity thrives and knowledge is shared

- Prepare well-structured schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that ignite student interest

Student Enrichment:

- Go beyond the classroom! Participate in parents' evenings, community projects, and external exhibitions

- Organise study trips, connecting theory to real-world scenarios

- Support students' pastoral needs, ensuring their holistic development

Quality Assurance:

- Contribute to the quality of provision by monitoring retention rates, attendance, success rates, and progression

- Keep resource materials up-to-date, reflecting industry best practices

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience

Lecturer in Electrical Installation - You:

We're looking for someone who embodies passion, expertise, and dedication. Here's what we're seeking:

- Industry Experience: You've worked extensively in the electrical industry, gaining valuable insights and practical skills

- Qualifications: Hold an Electrical qualification at Level 2 or 3 (or above)

- Teaching Enthusiasm: While a teaching qualification is desirable, your enthusiasm and ability to inspire students matter most

- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, build networks, and contribute to a supportive community
