The Infrastructure Engineer will work on existing migration projects to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.Responsibilities:路 Obtain and maintain working knowledge of our migration/transformation tools and use in the delivery of migration projects (training provided)路 Take direction from the Project Management team and Sr. Migration Consultant to deliver Client projects路 Support migration discovery, analytics, planning and execution project phases with Client and internal resources路 Work with Client and the Project Management to gather/analyse Client requirements and match to solutions路 Analyse gathered environment data to normalize, map and import to establish dependencies and determine move groups and events路 Create / edit project plans and runbooks necessary to facilitate move events路 Participate in SME interviews to gather system, application and dependency information路 Attend logistical and technical migration strategy sessions with internal consultants and Clients路 Work to deliver assigned tasks per defined project schedules路 Data manipulation and analysis using Microsoft Excel路 Execution of V2V migrations to and from various different platform providersRequirements:路 Knowledge and experience in application, data centre and infrastructure projects - particularly data centre migrations and consolidations路 Ability to perform server and application dependency analysis路 In depth understanding of data centre IT functions with a focus on application, server, storage and networks路 Working knowledge of virtualisation tools - particularly VMWare & Hyper-V路 Knowledge of infrastructure solutions from both cloud and on-premises, platform migration, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies路 Experience planning and migrating applications from one platform to another (AWS, Azure, VMWare, Nutanix)路 Understanding in modernising workloads ie. migrating to managed instances - IaaS / PaaS solutions, or upgrading operating systems路 Proficient with data manipulation and cleansing using MS Excel and/or DB tools路 Knowledge of MS Excel advanced features (V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, etc.) is desirableThe role will require some occasional weekend and evening work.Please apply to today for a confidential discussion to find out more.
