Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced Client Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT for various clients. This role demands excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple clients efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain bookkeeping records for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties, including transaction recording and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • CIS returns.
  • Assist in preparing management accounts and financial statements for some clients.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide financial advice and updates to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in an accountancy practice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Excel.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., AAT) are preferred but not essential.
