HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our client's quintessential village pub nestled in the heart of the countryside. We are opening this opportunity to someone who is dedicated and can provide good quality food and service to all customers.

The pub offers fantastic home cooked food, regular music events, weekly quiz nights and an unbeaten cosy feel.

General Duties:

  • To be second in command in the kitchen following the Head Chefs specifications and guidelines
  • Lead the kitchen team and control and direct all food preparation within the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Help with controlling stock levels and ordering.
  • Complete all necessary daily kitchen paperwork.
  • To assist with the training of any new team members in accordance with company standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and our guests.
  • To make sure you and your staff always wear the full and correct uniform and ensuring good personal hygiene.
  • Comply fully with all regulations relating to Health and Safety, employee conduct, hygiene, food handling, fire precautions, emergency procedures and COSHH regulations.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the Kitchen, its fixtures, fittings, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as Head Chef (Preferred)
  • Food & Hygiene Awareness 1 or 2 (Preferred not required)
  • Ability work in fast paced environments
