Job Title: Assembly Operative

Location: Denham

Pay Range: £27,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega Resource are now supporting a global recognised specialist manufacturer of ejection seats and safety-related equipment for aviation industry. The right candidate will be responsible for the assembly and inspection of components and sub-assemblies in accordance with the quality standards and production schedule.

Key Responsibilities – Assembly Operative

• Using technical specifications, defined working methods and drawings to build components and sub-assemblies to required quality standards.
• Undertake self-inspection and quality check of work undertaken in accordance with laid down quality standards and procedures.
• Assist in the successful implementation of on-going Lean Initiatives including 5S activities and continuous Improvement programme.
• Handle materials, goods, and components carefully and comply with safety regulations.
• Report any dangerous practices and other dangers such as faulty equipment to local supervision so that all operations are always safe.
• Monitoring of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration so that tools and equipment are always in good condition and suitable for purpose.

Qualifications & Requirements – Assembly Operative

• Mechanical sub-assembly experience.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
• Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Assembly, Fitting and inspection techniques.
• Use of hand tools and gauges.
