We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher with lead responsibility to join our supportive team in a SEN school located in Middlesex. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a candidate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who is looking to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver tailored lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs.
- Lead and coordinate a team of teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure the effective delivery of education.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing reports and attending review meetings as required.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals.
- Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating high standards of professionalism and conduct.
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role within a special educational needs setting.
- Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience with IEPs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
- Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to teaching.
