Accounts Assistant - Job Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, your responsibility will be to assist with the day-to-day accounting functions listed below whilst also offering a flexible approach within a small friendly team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and have knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts. You will possess a good telephone manner and confidence when chasing up overdue accounts.
Accounts Assistant - Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Sales Ledger
- Credit Control
- Purchase Ledger
- Supplier Payments
- Managing employee expenses and petty cash
- Daily bank reconciliation, including sales receipts, purchase payments and direct debits
- General office support including answering telephone calls
- Adhoc administration tasks as required
Accounts Assistant - The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a similar role, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent administrative skills
- High standard of communication, written and verbal
- Competence in excel, word, outlook
- Sage 50 accounts experience
- Ability to work as part of the team, undertake a variety of tasks and work to deadlines when required
- Reliable and dependable with a can-do positive attitude
