Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Wadebridge

Salary 35-45k

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer urgently required to work for a specialist manufacturing based in Wadebridge, Cornwall.

We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer who can work within a small facility and team to keep production running. You will be looking after improvements and developing new and existing production equipment, conducting maintenance and repairs to a wide range of machinery.

This is a key role to the business as any downtime can seriously effect production of specialist products.

We are looking for a confident person who can not only take on the maintenance work but also support in other areas of engineering within the facility.

This is not a state of the art facility, this is more of an "old school" engineering environment where you will be maintaining and developing a wide range of machine tools, machining equipment including the likes of Mills, Lathes, drills, grinders etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production requirements are met by ensuring machinery is available and efficient.
  • Maintain accurate records for stock control, production and maintenance monitoring purposes.
  • Planned maintenance records to be updated accurately and on time.
  • Identify new methods of working and improve working practices.
  • Learn health and safety procedures and ensure they are complied with.

Experience and Skills

  • Similar previous experience within an engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Practical experience of 240/400v electrics, electric motors, electronic controls, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Great knowledge in milling and turning, grinding and drilling, welding and enjoy a hands-on approach.
  • Good knowledgeable of preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills. Identify and rectify issues safely and efficiently.

Work hours:

Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30,

Friday 08:00-12:00
