Job Details:
- Job Title: Home Delivery Van Driver
- Employment type: Temporary Contract
- Shifts: Mon - Fri Shifts
- Start times: 06:00am starts Monday to Friday
Salary/Rate:
- £11.75ph
Role/duties:
- Drivers will be required to Drive a 3.5t BOX Van, which is higher and wider than a standard long wheel base Van.
- Home Delivery contract requires Drivers to work in 2 person teams either with another Driver or Drivers Mate to ensure all daily deliveries are fulfilled
- Previous commercial van experience is essential.
- As a van Driver you for our client you will be required to deliver between 10-20 drops per day.
- All goods require requires manual handling and heavy lifting, as such all applicants need to be physically fit and able to carry out the duties required to be successful in the role
- The role will involve daily duties such as vehicle checks
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Using route and planning sheets
- Delivering goods to customers property
- Safe unloading of goods.
Requirements:
- Must have proven previous Van delivery experience
- Must be physically fit and able to work
- Must be familiar with safe manual handling techniques
- Must have excellent customer service skills as you will be client facing for much of a normal working day
- Previous professional/commercial Driving experience is required
- You will be required to sign up with Freeway Agency
- 2 work references must be provided
Job Type: Temporary contract
Salary: £11.75 per hour to £13.16 with Holiday Pay
