Positions Available:
- Wakefield: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant
- Huddersfield: Part-Time Learning Support Assistant (0.8 FTE)
- Provide proactive in-class support to students and maintain high-quality records in line with identified needs and support strategies.
- Assist teaching staff in planning and delivering sessions.
- Facilitate student integration into mainstream learning and enrichment activities.
- Provide supervisory support during breaks and mealtimes.
- Accompany students on residential trips, day trips, or work experience as required.
- Record daily interventions and support using the College's electronic recording system, ProMonitor.
- Support students during assessments by providing necessary arrangements.
- Comply with all College policies and procedures.
- Essential:
- Experience supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Effective working knowledge of ICT and experience with support recording systems such as ProMonitor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with students.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff in a classroom environment.
- Initiative, influencing skills, and teamwork abilities.
- Desirable:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Learning or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience supporting students with hearing or visual impairments.
- Knowledge and experience of Land Based industries.
- BSL Level 2.
- Access to a vehicle and a full driving licence.
