Your new companyWe are seeking a full-time Year 5 Teacher to join the dynamic team at a friendly and vibrant primary school in Wallasey. The role is for at least two terms starting in September 2024. The school will consider any scale of teacher, but candidates must have previous experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes.Your new roleAs a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners and follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents. The school has a strong ethos of inclusion and high expectations for all, and offers a rich and engaging curriculum for all pupils.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this year 5 teacher role, you will need to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • Experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
