ROLE- Project Manager



LOCATION- Walsall



TERM- Permanent



SALARY- 40,000 - 50,000, dependent on experience



My client designs and manufactures Water Treatment equipment. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Walsall on a permanent basis.



The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Ideally be degree qualified in Engineering / a related subject
  • 2 or more years of Project Management/Project Engineering
  • Be experienced delivering full lifecycle R&D products in a manufacturing environments
  • Hold PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualifications
  • Innovative and passionate with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work with a small team to implement new Project Management processes
  • Strong client-facing experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Be flexible to travel as required


The Project Manager role will involve:

  • Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
  • Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
  • Scheduling, costing and quality control
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
  • Being involved in purchasing for projects and chasing suppliers as and when required
  • Preparing the required project related documentation & drawings
  • Making sure that all the aims of the project are met
  • Using IT or other systems to keep track of people and progress
  • Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems
