Buyer

PSR are working with a Tier 1 Contractor, who after continued success, are seeking a Buyer to provide their delivery teams with professional material supply services while supporting other business needs.

My client is a leading UK Civil Engineering contractor specialising in transport, tunnelling and water. With my client you will be given the chance to work alongside some of the best talent in the industry where you'll receive regular appraisals and a clear career progression path.

Responsibilities as a Buyer:

• Procure Construction materials and services
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure ethical sourcing
• Support Social Value and Sustainability objectives.
• Maintain supplier relationships and manage procurement processes

Requirements as a Buyer:

• Experience in a similar role within Rail/ Construction / Engineering industry
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
• Commercial awareness and budget management
• Excellent communication and computer literacy
• CIPS qualification (or working towards) and a relevant degree (preferred)
• Full UK driving license
