Operations Manager / Depot Manager required for our client, a well-known and rapidly expanding drainage contractor who specialise in commercial and industrial highways drainage solutions across London, the South-East, and the South-West, and are looking to pay up to 55k, including a company vehicle with optional personal use.
This opportunity will be based out of our client's depot in Waltham Abbey and will involves managing the day-to-day activities of a team of drainage engineer's and drivers who carry out a range of works including gully emptying, reactive jetting, root cutting, and traffic management works across the London and Home Counties area, working largely on council highways contracts.
A background within operations and/or depot management, in particular within compliance and health & safety would be ideal for this role, with drainage industry experience desirable but not essential.
Operations Manager / Depot Manager Job Responsibilities
- Providing support and oversight to teams of planned and reactive tanker crews, including toolbox talks, performance reviews, and compliance management
- Regularly liaising with multiple clients at a time across a number of London-based contracts
- Completing health & safety and compliance activities including incident reports and staff training
- Planning and coordinating works, along with reacting to emergency works and call outs
Operations Manager / Depot Manager Job Requirements
- Strong operational and compliance background within the commercial and/or industrial sector
- Drainage and/or highways experience highly desirable
- Based within a commutable distance of Waltham Abbey, Essex
- Full UK driving licence
- Any H&S and supervisory qualifications such as SMSTS and/or IOSH desirable
Operations Manager / Depot Manager Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary between 45,000 and 55,000, negotiable depending on experience
- Company vehicle with optional personal use, or a car allowance
- Company pension scheme
- Yearly bonus scheme
- 29 days holiday (including bank holidays) - increasing to 33 days with tenure
- Option to take a sabbatical after 5 year's service
