Supply Chain Planning Manager - £50k - £55k

We are proud to partner with one of the largest Food-Service businesses in the UK which supplies a range of Chilled/Fresh Produce & Food Products to the B2B industry. They are in search of an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager to manage a team of 8-9 Planners (Supply, Demand, Forecasting) and be the 'go to’ Supply Chain Planning expert alongside supporting the development of the team and working closely with the Head of Supply Chain on major projects.

Still operating as a family business, they are now embarking on the next phase of ambitious growth with more and more clients trusting them to supply the best Food Products OTIF.

What is expected of you?

  • Own the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes and department, alongside the Head of Supply Chain.
  • Manage an array of different Food Products, with a particular focus on Fresh Produce/Short Shelf-life products within a chilled supply chain.
  • Develop and build key relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for a team of 8/9 Planners - ensuring development plan are in place and running appraisals.
  • Manage key, business critical projects across the Supply Chain, including ERP development, Productivity, Risk Management and upskilling.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Supply Chain processes.
  • Offer training and development to the Supply Chain team members.
  • Able to work cross-functionally across all operational departments.

As a successful Food business going sustained growth, it is essential that the Supply Chain Planning Manager is a hugely proactive individual who will lead from the front and provide the following experience -

  • Experienced Supply Chain Manager with a background in planning (Supply, Demand, Forecasting), working with Fresh Food Products/a chilled Supply Chain environment.
  • An excellent track record of managing large teams of Planners, helping their professional development and up-skilling where possible.
  • Stock and Inventory Management - including waste management, OTIF deliveries.
  • Supplier Engagement & Management
  • Be the first point of contact for problems and issues which arise and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner whilst always continuing the best possible service.
  • Excellent Excel & ERP skills - able to analyse and process large data sets of materials and manage the order to cash processes through an ERP system.
  • Proven experience with both internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Experience of managing stock, inventory, and wastage
  • Underlying Supply Chain Project Management experience - from concept through to completion.
  • Expert communication, stakeholder, and team management/development experience
