Offical Job Title - Estates Caretaker

Job Purpose: Provide security and caretaking services to the school.

There is another caretaker so the shifts will be worked between yourself and your colleague.

6.45am to 2.45pm or 9.30am to 5.30pm

36 hours per week - FT (all year round)

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of school premises to ensure a safe learning environment.

- Contribute to site maintenance and oversee heating and lighting systems.

- Secure buildings and set alarm systems during non-school hours.

- Provide portering and furniture moving services as required.

- Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies.

- Support cost-saving initiatives in building maintenance and utility management.

Key Requirements:

- Practical knowledge of site maintenance and basic DIY skills.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Proficiency in IT tools.

- Ability to prioritise workload and support colleagues.

- Experience in operational support roles.

- Willingness to work outdoors and during non-office hours.
