The estimator will be responsible for assisting with the management of a team of assistant estimators. They will be responsible to acting as the main point of contact for clients (main contractors) and acting as the lead for the tenders they were pricing.

With the assistance of the assistant estimators, they will be responsible for:

Estimating / Bid Management:

i) Undertaking detailed take off from drawings, specifications and design documents using Procore

ii) Preparing measured pricing schedules for works

iii) Coordinating queries, ensuring all works captured within all tender documentations are included within and added to pricing schedule

iv) Head up full tender process, ensuring Tender Action Plans and Tender Programmes are compiled and issued to the wider team.

v) Ensure all actions for you and for other members of the team are being closed out at the appropriate time to ensure all tender returns are prepared without any scope or price gaps in good time

vi) Ensure Tender Log and register is up to date at all times

vii) Charing tender kick offs, mid bids and settlement meetings

viii) working with operational teams to prepare scopes of works for temporary works and budgets for prelims

ix) preparing estimates for works

Subcontractor Procurement (at tender stage):

i) Setting up, updating and management of procurement schedules for each project,

and chairing procurement meetings

ii) Preparing detailed scope of works and / or measured pricing schedules, and / or marked up drawings per package of works using Procore

iii) Preparing and coordinating tender enquiries using Procore

iv) Analysing and comparing tender returns

v) Normalising tender returns and raising, coordinating, and dealing with queries

vi) Negotiating with preferred contractors

Material Procurement (at tender stage):

i) Extracting relevant specifications and design information

ii) Preparing and coordinating enquiries using Procore

iii) Analysing and comparing tender returns

iv) Normalising tender returns and raising, coordinating, and dealing with queries
