- Preparing monthly accounts - overhead reporting in group formats, in line with group timelines and according to the relevant accounting standards.
- Ensuring that supporting reconciliations and analysis are available for all balances in the trial balance.
- Supporting on ad hoc requirements
- Preparing VAT for multiple entities
- Effectively working with a small team of finance professionals to deliver the requirements of the function.
- Preparing weekly/monthly KPIs to effectively measure function performance.
- Dealing with group finance/finance directors queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Working effectively with other departments to ensure highest levels of customer service are always delivered, including the establishment of SLAs.
- Supporting ongoing continuous improvement in processes and technologies to drive efficiencies in financial accounting related activities.
- Supporting the wider department function.
- Qualified Accountant with PQE.
- Experience of working within a Financial Accounting function within an SSC environment
- Knowledge of the built environment sector an advantage
- Microsoft package i.e. Intermediate to Advanced Excel
- Previous experience of accounting ERP software essential
