We are seeking a self-motivated Assistant Accountant to perform a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and prioritize duties, communicate effectively with all levels of management, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Description
- Recording financial transactions in accounting software (Sage Line 50) accurately and efficiently for all aspects of the business.
- Preparing and posting invoices / journals / receipts & payments.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Bank recs, supplier account recs, VAT returns, balance sheet recs.
- Assisting, where required, with collation of payroll information for our outsourced payroll provider.
- Assisting with general administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the Group.
Profile
- AAT studier, early studier into ACCA/ CIMA
- Previous experience within a busy finance function.
- Proficiency in SAP Accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite essential.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proven experience with assisting in the prep of management accounts.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact professionally.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
