Their growth is impressive and has been achieved with clear vision, hard work and a commitment to excellence which remains undimmed.

They are now seeking a proven General Manager who will work closely with the MD to deliver the Company Business Plan releasing them to focus on Strategic Growth business growth.

The Role

As the General Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of the company’s strategic business plan objectives, ensuring continuing growth whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service. 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead and be accountable for the performance of the Logistics Department, Finance Department & the Sales Department, and be the first line problem solver for the company, covering clients, suppliers, finance, people, and IT with the goal of minimal involvement from the MD. 
  • You will take ownership of all day-to-day activities to ensure service levels and gross margins are in line with Company KPI’s with direct supervision of a busy and fast paced Logistics Department.
  • Your duties will be in line with a typical General Manager role, managing the budget in line with forecast, managing team performance, including recruitment, induction & training and monitor and manage activities of the sales team to ensure continued growth in line with the business plan.

Role Requirements

To be shortlisted for this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar industry / role with a proven track record of success.  They will need to see demonstrable leadership credentials in your CV including experience of leading and developing a small team with strong organisational and planning skills.  To be successful in this role you will need to be an effective communicator and negotiator, who can articulate strategy into day-to-day operations, be a self- starter who is resilient and can operate under pressure and be a passionate advocate for continuing personal development of self and others.
