Ideally, the school would like their Teaching Assistant applicant to have a Level 2 TA qualification, however relevant experience really is the key component, should you not have these qualifications.
You will have the following capabilities in order to be successful in this Teaching Assistant role:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a smilar setting.
- Experience in Phonics.
- Strong communicator who is able to work alongside and support teaching staff.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent behaviour management strategies.
- Set high expectations at all times.
- Willing to embrace all elements of school life, and go above and beyond standard classroom expectations.
- Capable in Maths & English, and comfortable with the curriculum across all key stages.
