Join a dynamic and fast-paced recruitment business in Warrington as their new Payroll Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to step into a standalone role and take ownership of payroll operations at a time of positive growth and change. This role offers onsite parking and easy access to motorway network.

The Role:

You'll play a critical role in managing the full payroll process from start to finish, supporting weekly and monthly payroll for 200-300+ workers. Working closely with Sales, Delivery, and Finance, you'll ensure accurate, timely payments and continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run weekly and monthly payroll for growing numbers of temporary and permanent workers

  • Collect and process manual timesheets (digital solution planned)

  • Liaise with umbrella companies (with plans to bring this in-house)

  • Input and reconcile payroll data

  • Maintain and enhance payroll systems

  • Support CRM and timesheet system improvements

  • Handle payroll queries and maintain compliant payroll records

About You:

  • Strong experience running end-to-end payroll (ideally high volume or within a recruitment/agency setting)

  • Process-driven, detail-oriented, and used to managing tight deadlines

  • Confident collaborating with other departments and explaining payroll data

  • A proactive mindset - excited by the chance to improve systems and processes
