Description
- Commission and create new equipment PM procedures plus and key information that will be needed by the wider team.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance machinery performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and repair automation systems to minimise downtime
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Provide training and support to other team members on automation systems
- Maintain documentation for all automation systems, including programming and maintenance records
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department
- Liaise with suppliers and external technicians as required
- Provide technical support for prolonged issues within operational departments
- Ensure safety is followed by all and lead by example
Profile
A successful Automation Engineer should have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of programme languages, PLC programming, control system design, SAP, SCADA
- Proficiency in automation programming languages
- Experience working with industrial machinery and automation systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and team-working abilities
