Process Engineering

SRG are partnered with a Global Chemical Manufacturer and is looking for a seasoned Process Engineer with leadership experience to be responsible for leading the process design of improvement projects on existing plant at their site. The job holder will be responsible for the process design of all project phases from concept selection through to detailed engineering and commissioning. This will require development of P&IDs, equipment datasheets, instrument specifications, cause and effects, relief valve calculations etc. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that technical and manufacturing projects and improvements are designed and implemented that meet the Company safety standards and meet the business objectives of cost, timescale and fitness for purpose. You will ensure that all process engineering deliverables are scheduled and delivered to achieve the required project milestones.

You may also be responsible for leading a team of process engineers and 3rd party contractors to ensure the site objectives and project priorities are met as well as ensuring that all site documentation in their ownership is managed and maintained according to site procedures.

Here is what you'll need to succeed in this role:

  • The jobholder must have a good degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Approximately 8 years relevant experience in the chemical / oil industry.
  • Preferred to have experience in distillation, continuous and batch reaction, high hazard processes and application of process safety standards.
  • Preferred to have experience with process safety
  • Experience with managing a team is beneficial
  • There is potential for international travel and networking, however this is not expected to be significant.
