West lakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer - Building Services, to join us on our major project located in Warrington.
Purpose
- As Lead Engineer - Building Services, you will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase of projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performs engineering calculations, prepares specifications, performs analyses, performs testing, issues reports and maintains related data
- Maintains liaison with design and drafting groups
- Prepares and reviews drawings as required
- Advises the Lead Project Engineer about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, delays and adverse problems
- Ensures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks
- Plans and schedules engineering efforts associated with assigned project
- Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities
- Keeps proper engineering files and records
- Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments
- Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities and pursues additional training
- Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others
- Familiar with codes, permits and company cornerstone applications
- Familiar with the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within engineer's discipline
- Can read and understand construction drawings
- Can fully integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutions
- Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Experience:
- Ideally Degree Qualified or HNC/HND in engineering discipline
- Previous experience in highly regulated industries
- Proven experience in delivering projects of over 1 million
- Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills
