We are currently seeking qualified Accounting Lead to join our client based in Warwick on a hybrid basis. Financial accounting knowledge is key for this opportunity, alongside a finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). Salary is up to £53,000 + bonus and an extensive benefits package.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely collation of cash information and monthly reconciliations. Supported by the wider finance team, you will be driving process improvements across the business to continue the journey of development and growth. With the opportunity to manage a small but established team full of bright individuals, this is a brilliant chance to step into management.

The successful Accounting Lead will develop relationships across the wider finance team and continue the growth plan established across the business already. The business encourage growth and will establish a development plan for you from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting process improvement initiatives within the finance system
  • Assuming line manager responsibility for the Treasury Team.
  • Collaborating with head office to ensure the availability of funds for payments in all currencies used by the business
  • Accurately processing bank statements and payments on a daily basis.
  • Establishing and maintaining the SAP/Banking control environment.
  • Manage relationships with the Banking team
  • Resolving issues raised by the business, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Acting as a deputy for the Finance Operations Manager when necessary.
  • Coordinating the response to financial operations audits.
  • Undertaking ad hoc duties as required, which may involve supporting the wider Finance team.

Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • An accounting qualification is essential (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • A proficient understanding of sales, purchase, and general ledger principles.
  • Exposure to cash management
  • Proven experience in partnering with senior managers to drive change and challenge the business.
  • Exposure to project management is advantageous.
  • Ability to complete balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
