The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Roof Truss Estimator/Designer to join the Crendon Timber Engineering team.
You will be responsible for producing detailed, accurate designs for our products to meet customer/business requirements.
We are looking for an individual with a natural ability to build rapport with customers and technical knowledge and
experience in Truss and/or Posi-Joist floor design.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Interpret customer requirements and estimator quotations to provide efficient and professional designs, ensuring
targets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Prepare formal RFI’s as required.
• Liaise with customers and provide a knowledgeable service.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure designs takes into consideration costs, targets and manufacturing capacity & capability.
• Generate enquiries from new and existing customers, follow up quotations and obtain orders.
Skills Required
• Good understanding of I.T (use of Microsoft Office 365 suite).
• Minimum 2 years experience in roof truss design, with experience in Posi-joists designing projects utilising Mitek
and/or other design software.
• Basic CAD and drafting knowledge.
• General knowledge of the construction industry.
• Familiarity with UK Building Regulations.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with colleagues and customers.
• Able to work as part of a small team but have self-motivation to work alone to meet deadlines and customer
expectations.
• Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and providing excellent customer service.
• Full UK driving licence is preferable.
