Job Description

Purpose:

Responsible for identifying and scoping water main diversion works based on client requirements. This role aims to enhance the water main diversion scoping and delivery process by interpreting client and contractor requirements and designing optimal solutions considering all external factors.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Survey new schemes to identify risks and construction techniques for pricing.
  • Design and produce construction design drawings, ensuring compliance with technical standards and client requirements.
  • Develop design solutions and scope of works documents.
  • Ensure all planning criteria, including CDM regulations, are met.
  • Liaise with clients regarding network requirements.
  • Conduct site meetings with clients, highway authorities, and subcontractors.
  • Identify subcontractor requirements.
  • Produce construction programmes that meet client and highway authority requirements.
  • Coordinate with highway authorities to comply with street works requirements.
  • Identify necessary customer communications.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic technical knowledge of the water industry.
  • Basic AutoCAD experience.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of street works.
  • NRSWA awareness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
