Are you an experienced Bookkeeper? Looking to join a growing accounting practice where customer service is at the forefront of everything they do?

Major Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper on behalf of our client, a modern independent accountancy firm based in Waterlooville. As the successful candidate you will be joining a growing team of 30 people that work hard but pride themselves on creating a true family feel.

This is an opportunity to take up the role of Bookkeeper in a company that are on a mission to grow and develop and ensure their clients have a first-class service.

Main responsibilities of a Bookkeeper

• Maintain electronic filing of reports and records.
• Reconcile all ledgers
• Reconcile control accounts.
• Calculate and submit VAT returns.
• Calculate and submit CIS returns.
• Post journals e.g., PAYE, VAT, pension
• Resolve and reconcile bookkeeping queries.
• Provide excellent client care both on the phone and in person

What does it take to be a successful Bookkeeper?

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Confident using Excel.
• Be personable and a confident communicator.
• Be a good team player and willing to help others.
