Salary: (£33,075 - £45,037 per annum) - Dependent on experience

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring English Teacher to join a dynamic, forward-thinking secondary school in Watford from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ learning and development in a school that values academic excellence and fosters a love of literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3/KS4).
• Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of English literature and language.
• Support and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all students, including those with SEN.
• Contribute to the school’s wider educational ethos and participate in extracurricular activities when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide professional development initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Be a passionate, engaging, and knowledgeable teacher of English.
• Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Have a strong understanding of the English curriculum, assessment methods, and the latest educational practices.
• Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff, and be proactive in supporting student welfare.
