Primary SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant Wanted

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team of one of our local schools, on a full-time basis (08:30-15:30), Monday to Friday. This role is available for an immediate start until July, with the potential for a permanent role from September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with SEN, assisting them in their learning and development
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the holistic development of each child
  • Support children with their social, emotional and mental health development

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN either within an educational setting (or in a similar capacity)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential, along with UK work experience
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support children with diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team
