Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Rate of pay: £384.60 - £425 P/W

**About the role**

As a Teaching assistant you play a crucial role in supporting Teachers and students throughout the busy school day. You will be the first point of contact for any additional support a student may require on a 1-1 basis and some days you will also be required to provide general cover supporting the entire class so adaptability is essential for this role. Working with a mixture of mainstream and SEN students you will need to think on your feet and be ready to get stuck in from day one as any two days will never be the same! This role may at times involve some personal care so you would need to be confident and comfortable carrying out these tasks.

**Role Requirements**

  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Equivalent Level 3 UK Educational qualification is essential
  • Previous experience working in Educational or Care would be advantageous
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
